The NBA is back after a three-day protest following the tragic shooting of Jacob Blake. As expected, the Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic kneeled during the national anthem.

Bucks point guard George Hill, who was one of the leaders of the Bucks' protest on Wednesday, stayed in the back of the arena during the national anthem before joining his teammates on the court after it ended, per Malika Andrews of ESPN.

Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back of police officers in Wisconsin. The Bucks players decided to wildcat strike their Game 5 against the Magic in response to the tragic Blake shooting.

Multiple reports have said the players' meeting on Wednesday got heated after the Bucks decided to protest the Magic game despite not telling anyone. There was a moment where it looked like the 2020 playoffs were going to get canceled altogether.

However, players and owners talked things out on Thursday and now games are back on at Walt Disney World. NBA arenas are scheduled to host as polling locations for the upcoming general election for voters on Nov. 3, as a rash of franchises announced the initiative following discussions between the two parties.

There are two more games on Saturday after the Bucks-Magic contest. The Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder will play their Game 5, as will the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers.

The NBA should be commended for taking a stand with Jacob Blake and coming together to be on the right side of history.
