Jaylen Brown and Brandon Ingram have been named the NBA's Players of the Week for Week 10 of the 2019-20 season.

Brown averaged 27.0 points and 6.7 rebounds as the Boston Celtics went 2-1. Ingram, meanwhile, averaged 25.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists as the New Orleans Pelicans went an impressive 4-0:

The Celtics are 22-8 on the season and appear on their way to redeeming themselves after last season’s dysfunctional campaign. Jaylen Brown is averaging 20.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists while shooting 51.8 percent from the field, 40.0 percent from beyond the arc and 75.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Many believe one of the reasons Brown is flourishing this season is because he got his contract taken care of. Brown signed a lucrative extension with the Celtics before the season started, so he’s playing free now and turning into an elite two-way player right before our eyes.

While Jaylen Brown just got paid, Brandon Ingram figures to get paid next summer when he enters restricted free agency. The 22-year-old is putting up 25.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game for the Pelicans while shooting 49.1 percent from the floor, 40.9 percent from the 3-point line and 85.7 percent from the charity stripe.

As a restricted free agent, Ingram can sign an offer sheet with any team and then the Pelicans would have 48 hours to match the deal or let the talented swingman walk for nothing. Ingram is making $7,265,485 this season. His  qualifying offer is worth $9,481,458.

The Pelicans are 11-23 on the season, but their four-game winning streak after an ugly loss to the Golden State Warriors has them on the upswing. They are still waiting for No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson to make his regular-season debut. Williamson underwent surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus in October.
