Former NBA big man Glen Davis has reportedly pleaded guilty to his current court battle involving the assault charges that were filed against him back in 2018. According to news website Wehoville, the 33-year-old pleaded no contest in the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

According to the lawsuit, Davis assaulted a man outside of an L.A. nightclub last year, resulting in serious bodily damage to the victim. Thankfully for the former NBA champ, he was able to avoid jail time, but he will still be made to pay for his transgression in more ways than one.

As part of a plea agreement, Davis now is required to complete 320 hours of community labor over the next year. If he meets that condition and breaks no other laws, the battery count will be reduced to a misdemeanor, prosecutors said. Davis also was ordered to pay $104,479 in restitution to the victim of the assault.

This same report also states that Davis was arrested for drug-related charges last year as well. 2018 was not a good year for the former Boston Celtics big man, so hopefully, he is able to stay trouble-free in the coming years.

Davis played in eight seasons in the league, suiting up for no less than three different teams. He started off his career with a four-year stint (and a championship) with the Boston Celtics, before being traded to the Orlando Magic in 2011. Three years later, he would sign with the Los Angeles Clippers as a free agent, where he would spend the final two years of his NBA career. The last we saw Davis in the league was in the 2014-15 season.
