Montrezl Harrell sent shockwaves throughout the NBA world with his decision to join the Los Angeles Lakers. After all, it was not too long ago when he was on the other side of a rivalry with the Purple and Gold's crosstown rivals, Los Angeles Clippers.

Sure enough, reactions about the surprising move flooded social media. On Twitter alone, Harrell's now-former Clippers teammate Patrick Beverley expressed his disbelief about the move, especially since he's one of the most vocal players who talked about the Clips' rivalry with the LeBron James-led franchise.

While the most outspoken player on the Clippers have already made his reaction, it still left many fans wondering what Kawhi Leonard probably feels about the decision. Getting Harrell is certainly a huge boost to the 2020 NBA champions, and in contrast, it only hurts the chances of the Clips in beating the title-holders and making up for their rather embarrassing exit during the 2020 playoffs.

Montrezl Harrell's move will certainly add another layer in the ever-intensifying battle of LA between the Clippers and Lakers. While the former are yet to really make their mark, they are growing more confident with their star duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

The Lakers, on the other hand, have the bragging rights after winning the NBA title at Walt Disney World in Orlando during the bubble games.

The 2020-21 NBA season is set to start next month, so fans do not have to wait for long to witness another chapter unfold in the Lakers-Clippers history.
