Jimmy Kimmel was among many spectators having a healthy laugh at Fergie during her failed attempt at a unique rendition of the national anthem in Sunday's All-Star Game.

Cameras zoomed in on the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, LeBron James, and Draymond Green, as they couldn't keep from bursting in laughter as the 42-year-old singer butchered yet another chance at signing the anthem.

The former member of the Black Eyed Peas said she is the type to take risks artistically in response to the poor reception of her rendition, but this is one risk that definitely did not pay off for the blonde artist.

“The reason I was smiling is because I love the national anthem so much,” joked Kimmel after playing the first half of the clip. “It just makes me smile.”

“Here’s the thing about taking risks: When it comes to the national anthem — don’t. Don’t take risks when you’re doing brain surgery, don’t take risks when you’re driving a school bus, or singing the national anthem. Just regular is fine.”

Players have done their best to avoid fines when talking about her performance, but have struggled to not laugh thinking about it again.

Kimmel has a point though. Each artist will try to make the national anthem their own in some way to potentially leave the mark as one of the best renditions, but besides Jimi Hendrix, Whitney Houston, and other supremely-gifted artists, there are very few that are actually memorable.

An event like the All-Star Game is expecting to cut even at best and unfortunately wound up as the lone mockery of an otherwise excellent ensemble of basketball talent.
