NBA Rumors have it that the New Orleans Pelicans, Detroit Pistons, and Sacramento Kings are leading the list of teams actively looking for trade deals. These three teams are currently in the middle pack of the standings and have enough trade assets to upgrade their respective rosters.

Brian Windhorst of ESPN wrote about the rumors circulating around possible trade deals, including the teams that are searching the market for potential negotiations.

But what about the buyers? League executives report the New Orleans PelicansDetroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings lead the list of teams calling around looking for ways to upgrade their rosters in recent weeks.

Among these three teams, the Pelicans could be feeling the most pressure to come up with something big for their lineup. While Julius Randle has been a revelation for the team, there aren't enough solid pieces surrounding superstar Anthony Davis right now. Davis is set to be a free agent in 2020, and if New Orleans doesn't work things out, they would watch their All-Star walk out the door in exchange for nothing.

The Pistons are currently sitting on 6th place in the East early this season. It's not surprising that they are aiming for a change-up, considering their bevy of ill-advised hefty contracts in Jon Leuer and Langston Galloway. With up-and-coming prospects in Luke Kennard and Stanley Johnson, Detroit has enough assets to make an interesting trade offer.

Despite their recent front office turmoil, the young Kings team has been surprisingly good this season. Point guard De'Aaron Fox and center Willy Cauley-Stein may be untouchables in trade negotiations, but Sacramento still has young assets in Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic to attract opposing teams. They also have the expiring contracts of Iman Shumpert and Zach Randolph to move around.
