The Los Angeles Clippers continue to stay active ahead of the NBA trade deadline. As reported by Woj, The organization has traded guard Reggie Jackson to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for big man Mason Plumlee, who is having a career year.

The Clips have already acquired Bones Hyland from the Denver Nuggets to bolster their backcourt while also adding veteran sharpshooter Eric Gordon from the Houston Rockets, sending John Wall back to his former team in the process.

Jackson was a solid role player for LA ever since arriving during the 2019-20 campaign from the Detroit Pistons, averaging 12.8 points and 3.8 assists per night. This season, he's put up just 10.8 PPG after averaging 16.8 in 2021-22, though. The Clippers bench has struggled to consistently score the rock and the front office clearly believed a change had to be made.

As for Plumlee, he's proven to be an important piece of the lowly Hornets, compiling a career-high 12.2 points and 9.7 rebounds. With LA's frontcourt depth non-existent, the veteran is a great addition. they rank 14th in boards currently. With Ivica Zubac as the starting center, Plumlee can eat up some heavy minutes in the second unit.

The Clippers clearly made it their mission to make a splash at this trade deadline. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George finally healthy and playing up to par, plus some intriguing talent around them, perhaps Los Angeles can live up to the pre-season hype after all.  LA is sixth in the Western Conference with a 31-27 record heading into Friday's matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks.
