The Sacramento Kings are reportedly unlikely to accept a Bogdan Bogdanovic for Kyle Kuzma trade with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee.

Both Bogdanovic and Kuzma's names have been in trade talks for the past month with several packages being discussed, but mostly a straight-up swap between the two players:

The Lakers and Kings previously discussed a deal involving Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kyle Kuzma, but a league source told The Sacramento Bee the Kings were unlikely to make that trade.

Bogdanovic is making $8,529,386 this season. He becomes a restricted free agent after this season ends. In 39 games for the Kings this season, Bogdanovic is putting up 14.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists. He’s shooting 43.7 percent from the floor, 37.8 percent from the 3-point line and 69.2 percent from the charity stripe.

Once the Kings offer Bogdanovic a qualifying offer worth $10,661,733, the swingman becomes a restricted free agent, meaning he can sign an offer sheet with another team and then the Kings would have 48 hours to match the offer or let Bogdanovic walk for nothing.

For the Lakers, Kuzma is averaging 13.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 39 games this season. He’s shooting 43.2 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 74.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Lakers have the best record in the West, while the Kings are outside the playoff picture. To get hypothetical for a second, the addition of Bogdanovic to the Lakers fortifies their guard and wing rotation as well as their shooting, while the Kings improve their frontcourt depth amid the injury woes of Marvin Bagley III.
