Zion Williamson is one of the most highly-touted draft prospects we've come across in recent years. He was already making waves long before he played a single minute of college basketball. Now, if his recent debut for the Duke Blue Devils are any indication, then it appears that Williamson is truly worth the hype.

On Wednesday night, the Blue Devils took on Ryerson in a pre-season matchup that marked the beginning of Williamson's Duke career. Below are the highlights of the 18-year-old's memorable debut, courtesy of ESPN.

Williamson was an absolute beast on his first ever showing for Duke. He played an impressive all-around game, while flashing his strength, athleticism, and ferociousness throughout the contest. The 6-foot-7, 285-pound teenager finished the night with an imposing 29 points on 13/23 shooting, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.

Being a five-star recruit, Williamson had a number of college offers to choose from. He eventually committed to Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski's program, and has now successfully put in a monster performance on his first test. There are some questions about his NBA Draft prospects and how Coach K will utilize so much incoming talent at once, but those are great problems to have.

The amazing thing about this contest is that despite his output, Zion Williamson was not Duke's top scorer that evening. That honor went to fellow freshman R.J. Barrett, who happens to be the country's number 1 recruit (Williamson was ranked number 2), as the 18-year-old put up 34 points on 12/30 shooting, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.

The Blue Devils ended up on top with a final score of 86-67 after the heroics from these two studs.
