It's been just over a year since Kevin Durant began his life as a Golden State Warrior, yet he's achieved and received so much in that span. After years of chasing an NBA title with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Durant finally reached the pinnacle of NBA success when he and the Warriors took down the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2017 NBA Finals. Averaging a dizzying 35.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.6 blocks in five games, Durant was also named the Finals MVP of that series. This offseason, the Texas alum signed a new two-year $53 million deal with the Warriors.

And because life has simply been too good for the 2014 NBA MVP, he's also apparently turned into a deity in Oakland so much that folks there are creating murals of his likeness such as this one, which was posted by Long Beach-based artist, JCRo.

If that's the kind of love Durant is getting from Golden State fans after just a year in Dub Nation, just imagine what these folks would do if Durant and the Warriors won one or two more Larry O'Briens.

Still, the big question looms: when is the city of Oakland going to get its bronze statue bearing the likeness of Zaza Pachulia filming the Warriors' championship parade with a camcorder?
