Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young is one of the best players in the NBA today, and it's time to stop the disrespect on his name.

When talking about the best young players in the NBA today, the name that often pops out in conversations are Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum and Ja Morant. Some are even making a case for LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards, as well as rookies like Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley and Scottie Barnes.

While he's being overlooked, however, Young continues to record crazy numbers to force people from turning their heads on him. He has been on a tear for the Hawks this season, and while Atlanta has largely struggled to replicate last season's success this 2021-22, Ice Trae certainly is not one to blame for that. The 23-year-old sharpshooter is clearly going all-out every game, and his numbers don't lie.

After recording 36 points, 10 assists and six rebounds in their 122-115 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday to spoil Kevin Durant's career night, Young improved his tally for the most 30-point,  10-assist games in the NBA with 19.

For comparison purposes, Doncic have only nine of such games, while James Harden have seven, per Stat Muse.

Even more amazing, that is already Trae Young's 50th of such game. Luka Doncic has 34.

Perhaps people would be talking more about Young had the Hawks recorded a better win-loss tally. But still, the two-time All-Star deserves recognition for the way he is playing this year. He's clearly not getting the respect he deserves, and he's letting his game do the talking for him.
