Since announcing his decision to play for the Boston Celtics, not a lot has been heard or seen from Gordon Hayward. However, that changed recently when he took part in a photoshoot wearing the team’s famous Green and White jersey for the first time.
After fans saw his first-look donning Boston's uniform on NBA 2K18 game, the 27-year-old Butler product gave them the real thing, and gamely posed in front of cameras, proudly rocking the C’s colors.

One thing that also caught the attention of many is Hayward sporting the number 20 jersey, which was last worn by Ray Allen. Although the former Celtic was an integral part of their championship-winning team back in 2008, the franchise is not planning to retire his number, thus giving the newly-signed forward freedom to use it without asking anyone for permission.
The sight of Gordon Hayward in the Celtics' colors truly makes next season an even more exciting one for the Beantown faithful. After making it to the conference finals last season, they are once again geared for another deep postseason run, especially with the addition of Hayward, Jayson Tatum, and Marcus Morris, among others.
