Celtics big man Aron Baynes is currently listed as questionable due to an ankle tweak. Despite that fact, Boston head coach Brad Stevens is expecting the New Zealand-born bruiser to be available for Tuesday night's Game 2 matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jay King of The Athletic spoke with Stevens during Tuesday morning's practice session:

Baynes turned his left ankle near the end of Sunday's win. Though he limped to the locker room, his injury didn't seem to be severe. And with the game well in-hand at that time, the Celtics kept him on the sidelines as a precautionary measure. Regardless, Baynes says his ailment isn't going to stop him:

“It’s frustrating as hell, but it’s also unlucky as hell,” Baynes said of his recent string of ankle injuries. “I keep coming down on somebody’s foot… It’s bloody annoying, but at the end of the day it’s not going to stop me.”

Baynes logged nine minutes in Game 1, scoring four points, one steal and a plus/minus rating of +11. If he is available for Game 2, it will likely be in limited minutes. He sprained the same ankle earlier in the season, so the team's medical staff will be monitoring his status with a keen eye.

If Baynes is ruled out for Games 2, Daniel Theis would likely see an uptick in his usage rate at the backup center position.

The Celtics and Bucks will meet for Game 2 on Tuesday night. Tip-off inside the Fiserv Forum is set for 8:00 p.m. ET, with TNT having live broadcast coverage.
