Boston Celtics guard Jayson Tatum has played phenomenal in February, averaging 30.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals. The 21-year-old is also shooting 51.4 percent from the field and 77.9 percent from the line this month.

In a recent interview with Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports, Celtics big man Enes Kanter spoke out on what sparked Jayson Tatum's incredible post-All-Star break run:

“I feel like with Kemba [Walker] being out for four or five games, I think he's just like, ‘Hey I've got to put this on my shoulders' and he's just taken responsibility. He's feeling confident and feeling comfortable out there. And that's what a superstar does.”

The Celtics have won nine of their 11 games this month while notching impressive wins against the Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Utah Jazz. During their 11 game span this month, Tatum has also notched an astonishing six 30-point games, with the majority of the games without point guard Kemba Walker.

The 6'8 swingman has played a vital role in the Celtics' success this season. They're currently the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 41-17. In addition, the Celtics are only half a game behind the seconded seed Toronto Raptors.

In his third season in the NBA, Tatum is averaging 23.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists for the season. He's shooting 45.3 percent from the field and 39.8 percent from three-point range. His phenomenal season has also earned his first All-Star selection this season.

Tatum will seek to continue his stellar play on Saturday against the red hot Houston Rockets.
