The Boston Celtics have now won three straight and their eighth in the last 10 games, and they don't have any plans of slowing down any time soon. Just ask Jaylen Brown, who issued a rather stern reminder to the rest of the NBA amid their latest rise.

It seems too long ago now when there were concerns about the Celtics potentially missing the playoffs. They got off to a rather poor start, going 17-19 in their first 36 games of the campaign. Since the New Year, however, they seemed to have turned a corner.

In their 30 games this 2022, including Sunday's win over the Brooklyn Nets, the Celtics have gone 22-8. At one point in late January to mid-February before the All-Star break, Brown, Jayson Tatum and the rest of Boston staged a nine-game winning streak.

Boston has climbed to fifth in the Eastern Conference standings, putting themselves in good position to automatically qualify for the playoffs. However, Brown warned their opponents following Sunday's game that the best is yet to come for the Celtics.

“It started off looking bad, but it's a marathon, not a sprint,” Brown said, per Jay King of The Athletic.

Sure enough, things are looking encouraging for the Celtics. They are in striking distance for the second seed, and it's not far-fetched to think they can compete for the top spot. Of course it all depends on the play of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, but it's clear the two are playing with more confidence right now.

It remains to be seen where the Celtics will end up in on the playoff seeding, but fans better keep an eye on the Beantown team as they look to make more noise in the final stretch of the campaign.
