Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown had some strong words for the rabid Donald Trump supporters who decided that it was a good idea to violently storm the US Capitol on Wednesday.
A riot ensued after MAGA supporters tried to disrupt the ceremonial counting of votes for President-Elect Joe Biden, who edged out Trump in the heated 2020 US Presidential Election.
Shortly after the Celtics' 107-105 victory over the Miami Heat at the American Airlines Arena, Brown took a shot at those who incited the violence that caused the death of one woman and injuries to several others.
Taking a knee is disrespectful to America but storming the capital is not

Aside from the savage rebuttal, Brown–alongside Celtics teammate Jayson Tatum–also gave a passionate speech to address the riot that happened.
“In one America, you get killed by sleeping in your car, selling cigarettes or playing in your backyard. In another America, you get to storm the Capitol, and no tear gas, no massive arrests, none of that.”

Apart from being one of the fastest-rising stars in the NBA, Brown is also a staunch supporter of the battle against social injustice. The 24-year-old former California standout was extremely vocal last year at the height of the Black Lives Matter movement, even going to his hometown of Marietta, Georgia to join the protests.
It is worth noting that a lot of Trump's supporters attacked the NBA last year for using their platform to back the Black Lives Matter movement.
Brown joined his teammates as well as the Heat players and staff when they took a knee during the national anthem at the start of their game. Both teams walked off the court as a sign of protest to denounce the senseless violence, before sending a strong message before playing.
Jaylen Brown took care of his business on the hardwood like he normally does, pitching in 21 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks in 37 minutes of action for the Celtics, who improved to 6-3.
