When it was announced that Jaylen Brown was going to be able to suit up for Game 2 it was surprising to most. Before the morning shootaround, Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens hinted that Brown wouldn't be able to go and even if he was able to go it sounded like it would be very limited.
He ended up suiting up and giving the Celtics a huge boost. He played 25 minutes, putting up 13 points, four rebounds, and one assist.
After the game, he said the doctors didn't quite think he was ready to play, but he went against their wishes and played anyways.

Even though he was able to go in Game 2 it was still clear he didn't have his explosiveness, but he isn't concerned about that right now, he just wants to help the team any way he can.
Jaylen Brown said he's sore after returning from a hamstring strain in Game 2. And while he acknowledged he didn't always have his typical explosiveness he believes he can help the team. "I know what I can bring to this team and I just want to help much as I can." pic.twitter.com/IEQpUpK5TD

He also said during the interview that he and the doctors need to be smart with the injury. He knows he is pushing to get back, but he also needs to be smart to not push too much. They had a good plan in place for Game 2 and he is confident in the plan that the coaching staff will put in place for him for game three.
For the Celtics, Game 3 is a huge game for them even though they already have a 2-0 series lead. They weren't able to win any of the road games in the first series against the Milwaukee Bucks. If they don't want this series to go seven games they are going to need to find a way to shut down the Sixers early and often.
