The Boston Celtics are only going as far as their dynamic duo of Jays can take them. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are the two stars steering the ship for their franchise.
Both Celtics stars have a ton of on-court similarities. They have a similar frame, can play and defend the same positions, and alternate as the key cog for the team on any given night. But their off-court differences have caught the attention of some, as the two simply don't share as much in common off the court.
Jaylen Brown is vocal on social issues, constantly getting involved in the political sphere to fight for his beliefs. Jayson Tatum is focusing on being a father to young Deuce and is more soft-spoken than his counterpart.
Al Horford, now on his second stint with the Celtics, spoke out on their divergent personalities, claiming it's not the be-all and end-all for what makes a superstar tandem click.

“You’ve got to have that respect from the beginning,” Al Horford told me Thursday. “You don’t have to be best of friends, but they do acknowledge each other. They do respect each other and you can see it, that kinds of sets a tone. We’re here to support them.”
The Boston Celtics may not have the most closely-bonded team in NBA history, but they have some legitimate star talent in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. If they can put up more wins on the court, their relationship off of it will surely grow, too.
