Boston Celtics stud Jayson Tatum recently guested on “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” and one of the topic of discussions was his memorable dunk over the great LeBron James a few years back.
Tatum relived the moment as if it happened yesterday. After all, it's not everyday you get to posterize one of the greatest players of all time. According to the 6-foot-8 Celtics forward, he did not know beforehand that James was going to meet him at the rim.
“I remember I just told myself ‘go to the rim and try and dunk it,'” Tatum said. “I obviously didn't know that he was going to be down there, but I remember when I turned the corner, I saw him, and I was like, ‘Uh oh.'”
Before anything else, below is a clip of the said poster:

That was a nasty one, and there's no denying that the Celtics All-Star got LeBron cleanly there.
Tatum went on to narrate how the actual dunk went down, and of course, the slight nudge he did on James shortly after.
“I just tried to dunk it as quick as possible, ‘coz obviously he's a great shot-blocker,” Tatum added. “It just happened so fast… And chest-bumped him.”
James knew he got caught and took it like a man. He has been on the other end on more than a few occasions, so it looked like he didn't mind Tatum's antics afterward. LeBron even ended up approaching Tatum after the game to exchange pleasantries, so it was obviously all good between them.
