After the Boston Celtics lost to the Milwaukee Bucks at home on Friday, the team had a players-only meeting, a congregation Celtics second-year small forward Jayson Tatum says is nobody's business.
The Bucks defeated the Celtics 120-107, handing Boston its third-straight loss. The Celtics didn't open the postgame locker room for about 30 minutes after the game, as the players wanted to talk things over after another loss.
“It is something that we will keep in the locker room,” said Jayson Tatum, who scored 20 for Boston. “It's not something for everybody to know what we talked about. We just have to be better as a team.”
Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving echoed Jayson Tatum's comments, saying that whatever the players were discussing was going to be kept in-house. Boston was the heavy favorite to win the Eastern Conference this season, but so far, they don't look like an elite team.

The Celtics are 18-13, fifth place in the East. While they have the fourth-best defense in the NBA, giving up only 104.8 points per game, Boston is scoring just 111.1 points per contest. That's 14th in the league.
Incorporating swingman Gordon Hayward into the team has been harder than expected. Hayward missed the entire season last year after suffering that left ankle injury on opening night in Cleveland. There's still a lot of basketball left to be played for the Celtics to turn things around. Hopefully the team meeting will spark a winning streak.
Jayson Tatum is putting up sound numbers in his sophomore season in the league, but the swingman just wants to win.
