After leading the Boston Celtics to the NBA Finals, Jayson Tatum joined an elite young gun club featuring Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
According to Stat Muse, Tatum is just the fourth player in NBA history to make the NBA Finals while averaging at least 25 points, five rebounds and five assists in the playoffs before turning 25. Only Kobe, LeBron and Wade have done it before in their respective careers.
Tatum put up 27.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists in the 18 games he played during their Eastern Conference postseason run.

In the East Finals, Jayson Tatum maintained almost identical numbers on his way to the Larry Bird MVP trophy. He averaged 25.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 5.6 assists as their series with the Miami Heat went the distance.
While Tatum had some inconsistent plays in the 2022 postseason, his overall production has helped the Celtics survive the likes of the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and Heat. While their job is far from over, Boston can certainly take solace from the fact that their superstar is putting up historic numbers.
As for Tatum, being mentioned alongside the likes of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade is certainly a massive confidence-booster for him. While he really doesn't need any further source of motivation, it could very well be an extra inspiration as he he aspires to become like those three: an NBA champion.
