Walker missed the first three weeks of the 2020-21 campaign after undergoing a left knee procedure back in October.
Kemba Walker's breakout game happened in a timely manner for the Celtics, as they missed the presence of Jaylen Brown. The rising two-way guard sat out Friday's match with a sore left knee. On top of Brown, Boston also didn't have Marcus Smart on the floor. The Celtics' defensive anchor will likely miss two to three weeks after he suffered a Grade 1 calf strain in their 1-point loss to the Los Angeles Lakers last week.
Boston has gone through a myriad of injuries through the early goings of the season. The Celtics also dealt with COVID-19 related absences, with Jayson Tatum and Robert Williams testing positive for the virus and missing over two weeks of action.
Nevertheless, the Celtics must be pleased with Walker's breakout game. They certainly hope the 30-year old is finally back to his All-Star form as he continues to his legs back underneath him.
