Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson gave his props to both the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks at the conclusion of their thrilling series on Sunday.
The Celtics won Game 7, 109-81, behind a breakout performance from Grant Williams, who scored 27 points on seven made triples. Jayson Tatum also had a big game with an all-around effort of 23 points, six rebounds and eight assists.
After watching such incredible play from the Celtics, Johnson took to Twitter to congratulate them for advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Congratulations to Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, the entire Celtics team, Head Coach Ime Udoka, the entire coaching staff, and Owner Wyc Grousbeck for advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals!

Magic Johnson also gave a special thank you to Giannis Antetokounmpo after he carried the Bucks alone and brought the series to a Game 7. With Khris Middleton out, the Greek Freak carried much of the workload for Milwaukee. He consistently delivered despite the team falling short in the end.

In Game 7, he actually poured in 25 points on top of 20 rebounds and nine assists–all team highs. Unfortunately, the rest of Milwaukee was unable to show up and they ended up getting blown out.
Still, as Johnson said, Antetokounmpo deserves all the respect in the world for his brilliant performance throughout.
I want to thank the Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics to treating basketball fans to an exciting 7 game series! A special thank you to Giannis for performing like an MVP every single game this series!

The Celtics will now be heading to the East Finals where they will face the Miami Heat. Sure enough, Johnson will have his eyes on that series as well.
