Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson believes the Boston Celtics must make two key changes in Game 3 of the NBA Finals to beat Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors crushed the Celtics in Game 2, and it was quite clear Steve Kerr's men are on another level when their offense clicks. With that said, Johnson believed Boston needs to match that by making adjustments to free up Jayson Tatum and Al Horford, all while trying to get Marcus Smart more open looks.
He also urged the Celtics bench, particularly Grant Williams, Derrick White and Payton Pritchard, to step up and deliver consistent impactful productions.
In Game 3, Celtics Coach Udoka will have to make offensive adjustments to free up Tatum and Horford, find a way to get Marcus Smart more looks, and he has to get similar production off his bench from Williams, White, and Pritchard.

More importantly, however, Magic Johnson noted that the Celtics must do their best to cut down on their turnovers. They had 18 in Game 2, and it resulted to the Warriors taking advantage and blowing them out 107-88.
Even Ime Udoka himself noted after Sunday's contest that their turnover woes have been a persistent issue for them. When they do a bad job in taking care of the ball, they lose and give themselves no chance to fight at all–just like what happened in Game 2.
Last but not least, the Celtics must cut down on their turnovers to win Game 3.

Of course that is easier said than done. It's hard to change old habits overnight, and while the Celtics can certainly make adjustments offensively, that doesn't mean the Warriors wouldn't. Considering all that, Boston really needs to play with desperation and act like it's the last game of the season if they lose.
