It looks like the Boston Celtics could get Defensive Player of the Year winner Marcus Smart back for Saturday's Game 3 matchup against the Bucks. The 28-year-old missed Game 2 with a thigh injury but he has now been tagged as probable for Game 3.
Smart appears to be well prepared to suit up for Saturday's game as the series shift to Milwaukee. The Celtics stud revealed his unique mindset ahead of what should be a tough matchup against the defending champs (h/t Jay King of The Athletic):
“My mama always told me if you're outnumbered, you might as well be the first one to initiate and throw the punch. Because you're outnumbered, you might as well take one with you,” Smart said.

Smart compared road games to trips home from school. Said kids got in fights, some kids got jumped. "My mama always told me if you're outnumbered, you might as well be the first one to initiate and throw the punch. Because you're outnumbered, you might as well take one with you."

This is exactly the type of thing you'd expect to hear from a guy like Marcus Smart. He's not the flashy superstar that can drop 30 points on any given night — the Celtics have Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown for that — but what he brings to the table for Boston is unmatched. His no-nonsense attitude and relentlessness are second to none and this is exactly what makes him such a valuable asset for the Celtics. Oh, and he's a pretty good defender too.
