Tacko Fall is determined to get at least a chance to make an impact in the NBA. The rookie center is already looking forward to having workouts with past and current star big men. According to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald, Fall wants to have a workout with Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid. Aside from Embiid, the 7-foot-7 center, who is playing for the Boston Celtics in the Summer League, wants to work with Kevin Garnett, who once won a championship in white and green during his playing career.

“One guy I really want to reach out to, especially now that I’m with the Celtics, is Kevin Garnett,” Fall said. “I have not met him yet or talked to him yet, but I want to.”

Fall was the tallest available player in the 2019 NBA Draft, but he went undrafted before the Celtics decided to give him a chance in the Summer League. Most teams were turned off by his lack of speed and athleticism, and his inability to make hook shots around the rim.

However, he remains optimistic that he would eventually get a chance to impress teams with his defense. Fall averaged 2.4 blocks per game on top of 10.1 points and 7.7 rebounds in his four seasons with UCF. In their NCAA tournament game against Duke, Fall made headlines for blocking Zion Williamson thrice during the match.
