New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis' father made headlines on Friday when he said he wouldn't want his son to play for the Boston Celtics because of the way they treated point guard Isaiah Thomas.
The Celtics traded Thomas in the summer of 2017 to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Kyrie Irving. It was a very controversial trade since Thomas played on a serious hip injury during the 2017 playoffs and lost his sister as well in a tragic car accident.
Davis' father says the Celtics don't have any loyalty as an organization and doesn't want his son, one of the best players in the world, to play for a franchise like that.
Well, it looks like Anthony Davis' father isn't the only person with NBA ties who thinks the Celtics aren't loyal. In fact, according to Michael Eaves of ESPN, Davis' dad was merely saying publicly what many players around the league feel and have discussed privately about Danny Ainge and the Celtics.

Bombshell after bombshell keeps coming out in regards to Anthony Davis this week. The former No. 1 overall pick has requested a trade from the Pelicans and it's no secret Danny Ainge and the Celtics want him badly.
The problem is Davis reportedly prefers to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. His buddy LeBron James is over there. Add to the fact that Davis' dad publicly ripped the Celtics, and one would think there's no way AD will end up in Boston.
The Isaiah Thomas trade was tough to see, but at the end of the day, it's just business. However, it appears many players in the NBA still view what Boston did as shady business.
