Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce's son is having a social-distancing birthday party.

With COVID-19 still affecting the country, Pierce wanted to make sure his son was having a safe birthday party with his friends:

The 2019-20 NBA season was suspended after Utah Jazz All-Star center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19. It's unclear if the season will resume at all.

Paul Pierce works for ESPN now as an analyst. The Celtics icon will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer one day, but he's already a Hall of Fame dad. The Truth wanted to see his son at least have some fun on his birthday despite what is going on in the U.S.

Pierce finished his NBA career with averages of 19.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 1,343 games with the Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Clippers. He was the 2008 Finals MVP after the Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers.

Pierce is the Celtics’ all-time leader in 3-point field goals, free-throws and steals. He is second to only the legendary John Havlicek on Boston’s all-time scoring list.

Hopefully Pierce's son enjoyed his birthday. It's obviously not the ideal situation right now, but the former Celtics superstar did the best he could for his son.
