The Eastern Conference semifinals series between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers is not exactly a David vs. Goliath affair. For those looking for such a fight, Celtics guard Terry Rozier and Sixers big man Joel Embiid nearly provided one in the second period of Game 4 of the series Monday night.

After Rozier was called for an offensive foul late in the quarter, he and Embiid got into a mini scuffle when the former refuses to cough up the ball while Embiid was looking to get the leather to hasten a Sixers inbound play. The two postured as though they were going to hit each other, but thankfully, cooler heads were able to step in to separate Rozier and Embiid.

The encounter between the two players was also just reflective of how heated the series has been so far. Although the Sixers are down three games in the second round, they have been competitive for the most part. No team has ever come back from a 3-0 hole in the NBA Playoffs, but the Sixers are not letting that seemingly insurmountable odds keep them from trying to pull off a miracle.

As for Boston, even without Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, the Celtics, behind the genius machinations of head coach Brad Stevens from the sidelines and the elevated play of Rozier and company, continue to win games in these playoffs. A win tonight would send the Celtics to the conference finals against the winner of the Cleveland Cavaliers-Toronto Raptors series.
