The Brooklyn Nets have gotten hit with some unfortunate Covid issues including losing guys like Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving, who was supposed to join the team sometime in the next few weeks before testing positive for COVID-19.

Fortunately for the Nets, the NBA has decided to postpone their game on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets and on Tuesday against the Washington Wizards. Brooklyn is set to play on Christmas against the Los Angeles Lakers. It is unclear at the moment if these games are still going to happen.

If Brooklyn was worried about the number one seed, they most certainly caught a break with the league deciding to cancel their games. It makes sense that they decided to cancel their games considering that they had less than 10 players available for their game against the Orlando Magic on Saturday. They are still two and a half games ahead of the second-place Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference for first place.

Before this outbreak, Brooklyn looked like a team that was poised to win an NBA title. They're playing at an elite level and it was all because of how well Kevin Durant has been playing so far this season. If Brooklyn wants to win an NBA title, they're going to have to keep everybody healthy and this Covid outbreak certainly will not help them. Other teams in the league are also getting hit hard with this outbreak so it shouldn't be too much of a concern for the future of this Nets team.
