James Harden once again proclaimed recently that facing the Brooklyn Nets will be “scary hours” for the rest of the NBA. He has made the two-word phrase his mantra of sorts since joining the Nets last season, teaming up with the already formidable duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
Many fans felt that Harden joining the Nets was overkill. Like Thanos getting Captain America's shield. But alas, fate had other plans. Harden, Durant, and Irving only shared the floor for eight games as they were ravaged by a spate of injuries.
But now, with a clean bill of health, the All-Star trio will be difficult to beat. For a stretch last season, Harden definitely looked like the Nets' best player, even when KD and Irving were around. He was back to his unstoppable self on offense, casually putting up triple-double numbers.
A ridiculous statistic, however, also shows there's another thing Harden is crazy good at when healthy: Drawing fouls from deep. According to NBA Crazy Stats, The Beard has drawn more three-point shooting fouls than any team in the NBA since 2009 except the Houston Rockets.

As if the Nets need more advantage, they can easily get extra points from Harden's long distance foul-baiting. It's a quirky facet, or even a loophole, but the versatile lefty has always been a unique player. So much so, the NBA recently revised its rules in hopes of limiting Harden's wily moves.
James Harden, a former MVP, is considered the second best player of the Nets. Let that sink in.
