It hasn’t been too good of a Christmas Day for the Boston Celtics. Other than the fact that they picked up a 111-103 loss at home Monday at the hands of the Washington Wizards, the Celtics also saw shooting guard Jaylen Brown suffer a leg injury late in the fourth quarter of the contest.

According to Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe, Brown skipped postgame interviews and was seen using a crutch.

It’s still too early to tell the specifics of the injury with the Celtics unable to provide any further details yet, but in case the second-year guard needs to miss any games, Terry Rozier and Marcus Smart could get increased minutes moving forward.

Before leaving the Wizards game, Jaylen Brown had logged 32 minutes on the floor, scoring eight points on 3-of-9 shooting from the field to go with nine rebounds. On the season, Brown is averaging 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game.

Brown, Boston's third-overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, has been a big part of the Celtics’ game plan on both ends of the floor, as evidenced by the significant improvements in his numbers from last year, when he put up just 6.6 points and grabbed only 2.8 boards per contest.
