Former All-Star center Dwight Howard is set to play on his third team in as many years after being traded from the Atlanta Hawks to the Charlotte Hornets earlier this NBA offseason.

With that in mind, Howard has a clear message for all his critics who think that his best years are now behind him, according to ESPN.

The 31-year-old is coming off another season where he experienced more of a decline in his production in what turned out to be his only campaign in Atlanta averaging 13.5 points with 12.7 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 29.7 minutes per game. In fact, this was the lowest-scoring output and minutes total since his rookie season.

His struggles on the offensive end came to a head in the playoffs as he cracked double-digit scoring just once and saw his involvement on that end of the floor diminish as the first-round series against the Washington Wizards progressed on.

That said, he has a prime opportunity to prove that he has more than enough left in the tank in his 14th year of his career. He will likely assume a huge offensive role alongside All-Star point guard Kemba Walker with hopes his addition can bring the Hornets back to the playoffs.
