When the L.A. Clippers decided to pull trigger on the deal that sent Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic and a future protected first-round pick, many were surprised why they opted to part ways with their best player. While it marked a new era for them, they are still in the process of changing the look of the team, including their home court.

It was noticeable ahead of their game on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets that Staples Center had new banners placed around the arena, which is the first time the Clippers changed them since trading Griffin. The new sight was captured in a photo posted by ClutchPoints’ own Tomer Azarly.

The move only goes to show that the Clippers are now geared to bring in a lot of success to the franchise with their current crop of players. Even without Griffin now, their new personnel have shown that they can co-exist with their new teammates and can learn the system of head coach Doc Rivers quickly.

With a current 32-27 record, the team is still in eighth place in the Western Conference, but have the Denver Nuggets breathing down their necks trying to end up with one of the last playoff spots. If the Clippers go on and make it to the postseason, it will be a huge confidence booster and could carry the momentum with them next season. it also proves that they are more than just a one-man team, and could still win even with new players onboard.
