Jimmy Butler and Lou Williams have had some beef since the All-Star Game. It started when Lou Williams sent out this tweet after Butler didn't play in the All-Star game because he wanted another day of rest.

Of course, many believed that Williams was a snub when the All-Star Game roster came out, and if Butler would have elected to not play earlier, Williams would have had a good chance to replace him.

On Friday Butler upped the ante on Friday night, offering to play Williams one on one with $100,000 dollars on the line.

Later Friday night Butler suffered a knee injury that turned out to be an MCL injury, which he has already had successful surgery on.

On Friday night after the injury, the Clippers put out an interesting tweet.

While many interpreted as a classless shot at Butler and the Wolves, the timestamp of the tweet falls in line with what Williams was doing at the time: torching the Phoenix Suns for 23 points in the second quarter. Williams finished the night with a game-high 35 points, but Williams' insane second quarter was capped by a thunderous dunk around the time of the tweet.

The tweet was deleted approximately 20 minutes later just after the Clippers and Suns game hit halftime. That would suggest the social media manager found out about the ill-timed tweet at halftime to delete it.

For Williams, he has had a really nice season and has really been a huge key in at least keeping the Clippers afloat during what has turned into a bit of a rebuilding year.

Butler was also having a great season and had really helped put the Timberwolves in a good position for the postseason. The good news for Timberwolves fans with the injury is that he avoided any ACL damage, but was diagnosed with a meniscus injury that is expected to hold him about anywhere from four to eight weeks, although the team is ruling him out indefinitely. Should be able to return this season, it would certainly prove vital towards what the Wolves want to do in the postseason.
