The Boomers just got a major boost.

After injuring his knee in the recent NBA Finals which prompted him to miss the remainder of the series, newly-acquired Dallas Mavericks center Andrew Bogut returned to the floor for the Australian national team.

Know for being tough-as-nail, Bogut played nine minutes in Australia’s 82-53 win over China in their exhibition game.

Roughly six weeks ago, Bogut was playing in the finals until J.R. Smith accidentally landed on his knee in one play.

Andrew Bogut’s presence for the Boomers is a big lift being their veteran leader. Despite being nowhere near his previous Olympic shapes, he is still a very reliable force down low who’s willing to get physical at all times.
