What coach Carlisle forgot to mention in his comment is that Luka Doncic did the pass with MVP and Defensive Player of the Year front runner Giannis Antetokounmpo covering him. The audacity Doncic possesses is simply inspiring.

Fans are almost running out of superlatives here, and they haven't even gotten to the young Slovenian's triple-double in the evening. Doncic finished with 36 points on 12-of-24 shooting (9-of-10 from the charity stripe), 14 rebounds and 19 assists in 42 minutes of action. It was his third triple-double for the Mavs in five games inside the bubble.

Needless to say, Doncic has been cooking since the restart.

With this victory, Dallas is now just a game and a half behind the sixth-seeded Utah Jazz in the West. The Mavs still have three seeding games remaining, and they still have a shot at improving their final standing in the conference. Whoever ends up facing Doncic and his Mavericks in the first-round will undeniably be up for a formidable challenge.
