For all the concern over how the coronavirus will impact the start of the NBA season, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban sounded highly optimistic that the forthcoming vaccine will ensure the league's final months will proceed uninhibited–with fans in attendance.
Appearing on the SiriusXM NBA Radio show with Frank Isola and Brian Scalabrine, the Mavs boss explained that his excitement over the impending vaccine–which was shipped for the first time Sunday morning–was not simply wishful thinking but from research that he had undertaken.

…So those last couple of months with the NBA season are going to be incredible, where people are just going to be going nuts.”
While the NBA has been unable to deliver a clear timeline by which they expect players and coaches to receive access to the vaccine, the league has implemented rigorous guidelines in the hope of mitigating the spread of the virus in the meantime. No longer operating in a bubble, many observers have raised concerns over the viability of the season as cases of COVID-19 have spiked nationwide.
To hear Cuban explain it, however, the association need only limit the spread of the virus for a few additional months before life can return to normal. With fans having been absent from arenas since early April, it goes without saying that most will hope the Mavs' outspoken boss is right.
