Isaiah Thomas made his season debut for the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday and helped the team earn a 120-118 come-from-behind win against the Sacramento Kings.
He played 13 minutes and had eight points and two assists.
After the game, Thomas said he will be on a minutes restriction for a significant amount of time:

Thomas hadn't played in the NBA since March due to a hip injury that has been bothering him for two years. He eventually underwent a successful hip surgery and had been recovering since.
There were questions surrounding Thomas' future with Denver, as reports circulated that he might not be able to play at all this season. However, those speculations were all put to rest when he made his debut on Wednesday.

Prior to facing his former team, IT stated that he's not sure if he'll ever be 100 percent healthy again, but he still plans to do everything in order to get back to being one of the best players in the league.
Back in the 2016-17 season, Thomas was one of the top five candidates to win MVP, as he played a phenomenal season for the Boston Celtics that saw them clinch the best record in the East. However, it was also during that year that he suffered the hip injury that forced him to miss the final stretch of the playoffs.
Thomas bounced around the league after that. The Celtics traded him to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Kyrie Irving before the 2017-18 season. In the middle of that year, Thomas was then shipped to the Los Angeles Lakers for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. He did play for a month and a half for the Lakers before deciding to undergo surgery.
The Lakers did not re-sign Isaiah Thomas last summer, so he decided to go to the Nuggets.
