Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond had a historically bad outing in Sunday's Game 1 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Drummond logged 26 minutes, notching 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field, 12 rebounds, two assists and one steal. Those are fairly solid numbers. However, he also finished with a plus-minus rating of minus-45.
According to Justin Kubatko of StatMuse, Drummond's minus-45 is now the worst plus-minus by any player in a playoff game since the 1996-97 NBA campaign, which is when the league began tracking the stat:
Andre Drummond had a plus/minus of -45 in yesterday's loss to the Bucks. It is the worst plus/minus by a player in a playoff game since 1996-97, the first season individual plus/minus numbers are available.

The Pistons allowed seven Bucks players to score in double figures, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, who racked up 24 points and a whopping 17 rebounds:

Drummond and Antetokounmpo were involved in an on-court altercation in the third quarter. After Giannis grabbed an offensive rebound, Drummond shoved him to the ground with both hands. The Pistons were trailing by 41 points at that time.
After a review of the play, Drummond was given a Flagrant 2 and ejected. As he made his way to the locker room, he blew kisses to the crowd inside Fiserv Forum:
“I have watched that kid since he got drafted so I know his game like the back of my hand,” Drummond told ESPN, referring to Antetokounmpo. “He is just going to put his head down and keep driving in there. (The plan) is to make him take tough shots, take charges when he does try to bulldog his way in, force him to take 3-point shots, and if we do foul him, foul him as hard as possible.”
The Pistons and Bucks will meet for Game 2 of this series on Wednesday night. Tip-off inside Fiserv Forum is set for 8:00 p.m. ET, with NBA TV having live broadcast coverage.
