Detroit Pistons star Andre Drummond says the fight between Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid and Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns was a “sissy fight.”

Neither Towns nor Embiid landed a punch. The NBA suspended both All-Stars for two games.

Very rarely will players actually land a punch during an NBA fight. When Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul fought last season at Staples Center, that was the first time in a long time that actual punches were landed.

Drummond has a bit of a rivalry with Embiid. Whenever the Pistons and Sixers play, Drummond and Embiid always have a physical battle down low. Sometimes, Embiid goes to social media to poke fun at Drummond if the Sixers win. Drummond once talked about how Embiid shouldn't be able to trash talk since he can't play in back-to-backs.

Drummond has missed the previous two games for the Pistons due to avocado-induced eye inflammation. Detroit hosts the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. Drummond may be able to play.

The Pistons, after losing to the Washington Wizards on Monday, are 11-16 on the season. They are in the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference standings. Drummond is putting up 17.7 points and 16.6 rebounds in 25 games and shooting 54.6 percent from the floor.
