Social media has a knack for blowing things out of proportion, especially in the sports world. Detroit Pistons All-Star center Andre Drummond fell victim to that Friday morning as he addressed a tweet from Pistons writer Rod Beard, who stated how tough it can be at times to achieve fan satisfaction.
I am a man of the people and love all detroit fans…. but This is why when media ask do we play for the fans and we say no. Nothin satisfies them. Which is why I always say I’m worried about the guys I have in my locker room https://t.co/pyHc3qI4Dh

The Pistons are off to a strong start (4-0) with Drummond and Blake Griffin dominating in the Motor City. Beard suggests now that Detroit is winning games, the fans want them to win these games by more points.
Drummond's response suggests his focus is on his teammates and not what the fans think. It's nearly impossible to please a fan base considering so many opinions coexist within that particular fan base.
Naturally, Drummond wanted to clarify his remarks so as not to upset the fans who may have taken his initial tweet the wrong way.
Let me go ahead and clear the air before one of you make a story out of nothin. My statement I made means two things
1) I love all detroit fans and people who follow the pistons
2) the statement of people not being satisfied of wins , meaning we play to win. This is our job

Drummond's clarification states that he DOES care about the Pistons fans and recognizes the common goal with all parties involved is simply to win games. You can always score more, rebound more, etc., but Drummond's comments suggest trying to attain satisfaction from the fans is a tough task.

We play to take care of our families and to fulfill our dreams of winning championships for the city we play for . “We” was a broad not point at any one person or even me at that. I just play for the guys in my locker room and my family .

Drummond goes on to say that he isn't attempting to involve or speak for others, rather point out that as a basketball player the common goal is winning and ultimately achieving championships.
With that being said! I love you all! Have a blessed day and Go pistons

The Pistons big man has averaged 18.5 points, 17.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in four games this season. Clearly, he has been a huge part of the Pistons' success, especially with those outrageous rebounding numbers. Detroit's success could continue to make noise within the Eastern Conference this season.
