Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond remains one of the hottest names on the trade market. However, the veteran big is still a Piston at the moment.
On Monday, Drummond took an elbow to the face against the Washington Wizards. It is safe to say that the Pistons center wasn't too pleased with the eventual response to such an incident.
Drummond feels as though if the tables were turned, the NBA would have really dropped the hammer on him. With Wizards center Thomas Bryant delivering the seemingly incidental elbow, the longtime Pistons big man notably lost a tooth in the process.
Although he wasn't happy with the result of the play, Drummond says that he did not suffer an injury after taking an elbow to the face against the Wizards.
If the rolls were reversed I’d be ejected and probably suspended…… sad
I’m good though, thanks to everyone who was concerned 🦋— Andre Drummond (@AndreDrummond) January 20, 2020
As it stands today, Drummond and the Pistons currently find themselves just outside of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. The 16-28 Pistons are currently in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Detroit currently sits three games behind the eighth place Brooklyn Nets. With a ton of season left to play before the playoffs ultimately get underway, it remains to be seen as to what the Pistons do ahead of this year's trade deadline.
In addition to Drummond, the rumor mill has also begun to churn regarding Pistons point guard Derrick Rose.
