Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is on pace to lead the league in rebounding this season for the third time in the past four years. While the two-time All-Star has had some strong personal accolades early on in his career, what he really wants is to win, and he wants to do it as a Piston, per Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press:

“My goal is to win here. … But I'm still here — just trying to win.”

Drummond has been subject to some trade rumors in recent years, but he's focused on winning in Detroit. The Pistons enter play Friday in sixth place in the Eastern Conference playoff picture, having won three consecutive games and eight of their last 10.

Drummond, meanwhile, is on pace to set a new career high in scoring with 17.6 points per game, while also leading the league at 15.1 boards per contest. Despite the fact that he led the league in rebounding at the All-Star break, he was not selected to his third All-Star roster.

The No. 9 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, Drummond has been the anchor in the middle of the court for Detroit since he was handed the keys to the starting role in 2013-14. Since then, he has missed just 10 games, having started every contest he has appeared in.

The landscape around Drummond has changed significantly. Now in his first season under head coach Dwane Casey, Drummond is tag-teaming the frontcourt alongside All-Star Blake Griffin, who is also averaging a career high in scoring. Despite the dynamic duo, Detroit sits at just 32-31, nearly assured of being a low seed in the playoffs should they make it.

But that hasn't deterred Drummond, who wants to win in Detroit.
