Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey says Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose will try and play against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.

Griffin has left knee soreness and flu-like symptoms, while Rose has left knee soreness:

Griffin has been a shell of himself this season. He’s averaging just 16.3 points and 4.4 rebounds in 15 games while shooting 37.3 percent from the field and 27.0 percent from beyond the arc. Griffin has no lift or speed at the moment.

In his first season with the Pistons, Rose is averaging 16.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists. The former MVP is shooting 48.3 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from beyond the arc and 86.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Griffin was a superstar last season. He appeared in 75 games for the Pistons and put up 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. Detroit made the playoffs for the first time since 2016. They got swept by the Milwaukee Bucks in part because Griffin only played in Games 3 and 4 due to his knee injury.

The Pistons might have to blow up the roster and trade Griffin and Andre Drummond if the losing continues in The Motor City. Detroit is just 11-19 on the season. They are in the 11th spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
