Detroit Pistons big man Christian Wood says point guard Derrick Rose is “an All-Star.”
Rose has been the Pistons' best player this season. The former MVP has scored at least 20 points in 11 straight games entering Saturday, the longest stretch of his career:
“D-Rose is special,” Christian Wood said, via Pistons.com. “Actually playing with him, being on the court with D-Rose, I see some of the things that people talk about. He’s special when he gets downhill, the reverse layups. He’s an All-Star.”
Rose is averaging 18.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists on the season for the Pistons in 40 games. He's shooting 49.7 percent from the field, 30.5 percent from beyond the arc and 86.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Rose is garnering trade interest from a few teams with the trade deadline looming, most notably the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers. The vice chairman of the Pistons is Arn Tellem, who was Rose’s agent before he took that job. Odds are the front office will have discussions with Rose and his camp before anything goes down.
The Pistons are 17-29 on the season. They are in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Saturday is a big game for Detroit, as they are hosting the Brooklyn Nets, the team which is right in front of them in the standings.
Derrick Rose vs. Kyrie Irving should be a fun matchup for everyone in Detroit.
