Detroit Pistons point guard Derrick Rose is one of the front-runners for Sixth Man of the Year, and some around the league believe the Pistons should trade him to a contender so they can get some value in return.
However, the Pistons won't trade Rose unless he goes to management and asks to be dealt, according to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report (h/t Will Gottlieb of Bleacher Report):
His relationship with Arn Tellem, the team's vice chairman and Rose's former agent, was an important reason he signed in Detroit, and the Pistons won't ship him out unless it's something he asks for, a source told Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus.
The Pistons are 14-24 on the season, putting them in the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference standings. Technically, Detroit is still alive in the playoff picture since the back half of the East is so bad.

Derrick Rose has appeared in 32 games for the Pistons this season. The former MVP is averaging 17.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 5.8 assists while shooting 48.4 percent from the field, 33.0 percent from beyond the arc and 87.8 percent from the free-throw line.
Rose has one of the best value contracts in the NBA. He signed a two-year, $15 million deal with the Pistons this past offseason.
