The Golden State Warriors have a lot of work to do this offseason, and one avenue they could use to add new talent is the NBA Draft. While the Warriors don't have a pick in the first round, they do have a late second-rounder, which makes them an intriguing candidate to select LeBron James' son, Bronny James.
Bronny didn't have a great year in college with USC after he suffered cardiac arrest back in August, but he turned in a decent performance at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine, and ultimately decided to stay in the draft. He's projected to be a late second-round pick, and while many fans are linking him to the Los Angeles Lakers, ESPN's latest mock draft had him getting selected by the Warriors. And sure enough, fans quickly took to social media to share their thoughts on Golden State potentially selecting him in the draft.
Tbh……this would not be a bad pick with the skills he did showcase at the combine and how good GS is with player development 👀 https://t.co/jD2cppEPly

I do have a funny feeling Warriors or Suns will take Bronny before LA can take him at 55. Just to see if they can swing Bron lol https://t.co/QzPKbDy5YH

Bronny in Golden State can lure Bron there too. Getting to learn from Bron and Steph at the same time is interesting https://t.co/oOuHM6jL1P

Might be my worst take yet, but honestly golden state might be the best place for bronny considering their history of developing talent and making the most out of very little. I don’t think it’ll be the best decision in the short term but i mean its not like we got a lottery pick https://t.co/xMYjSD9h2y

Should the Warriors pick Bronny James in the 2024 NBA Draft?

Bronny was a highly touted prospect in high school, but a scary cardiac arrest incident threw his path to the NBA into doubt. The most important thing was that LeBron's oldest son managed to make a full recovery and return to the basketball court, but the results in his lone seasons with the Trojans left a lot to be desired.
It was a rough season for Bronny (4.8 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 2.1 APG, 36.6 FG%), and it left a lot of fans wondering what his next move would be. He clearly wanted to be a one-and-done player in college, but his numbers proved that, while he has a lot of potential, he still needed some time to figure things out.

The Lakers are an intriguing landing spot for Bronny given that he could be interested in partnering up with his father in the NBA, but there are several other teams that could be interested in trying to develop him into a star, with the Warriors being one such team.
Not only are fans freaking out about the possibility of seeing Bronny team up with Stephen Curry, someone he has been a fan of for awhile, but it would also open the possibility of LeBron heading to Golden State to join them. LeBron has a player option in his deal with the Lakers, and if he opts out of that deal, he could end up finding a new home on the open market.
As we can see with these quick reactions, fans would be onboard with the Warriors drafting Bronny, as he'd have time to develop behind the scenes, while also getting to learn from legends like Curry and Steve Kerr. Nobody knows what will happen with Bronny in the draft, but if he does end up falling down the board to the Warriors, he may be a player worth taking a flier on for them, especially if it opens the door for LeBron to potentially tag along with him.
