Draymond Green is closing in on one particular franchise record that could have his name among some of the best to ever play the game.
The 27-year-old forward is one rebound shy of tying the great Wilt Chamberlain for most rebounds in Warriors franchise history (922), and could certainly pass him in the first quarter of Game 3 against the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight, according to NBA History on Twitter.
Chamberlain averaged a monstrous 41.5 points per game during his short stint with the Philadelphia Warriors back in the day, and Green now has the opportunity to surpass The Stilt for a long-held record in franchise history.
Green has been a rebounding machine, despite not having the hulk-like physique of the towering 7-foot-1 Chamberlain, but rather an undersized 6-foot-7 power forward with tenacious box-out instincts and a nose for the ball at both ends of the glass.

Green has put up averages of 10.9 points, 11.4 rebounds, 8.1 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game during this playoff campaign — by far the best of his postseason career, despite a woeful 27.8 percent shooting from deep.
Eclipsing the great Chamberlain would be the cherry on top of the cake for this battle-tested postseason, as Green has collected double-digit rebounds in 11 of his 19 appearances during this playoff run.
