Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson's shooting slump carried over on Saturday, as the Warriors surprisingly fell to the Dallas Mavericks, 112-109. Nonetheless, the 6-foot-7 shooting guard appeared to be unconcerned about his recent cold streak, claiming that it will only be a matter of time before he heats up again.
After the poor shooting night, Thompson was asked if he was worried about his poor shooting form of late. The four-time All-Star was his usual nonchalant self, immediately shooting down the inquiry.
Klay Thompson isn't concerned about his latest shooting slump from beyond the arc: "I feel great, man. You don't set an NBA record being frustrated so I'm not going to go over here and dwell on missing a couple shots."

Thompson went 9-of-24 from the field on the evening, making only two of his eleven attempts from deep. Over the past four contests, Thompson has gone 35-of-90 from the floor, averaging a sub-par 38.9 percent field goal rate. During that span, he has only made 10 out of his 39 attempts from deep, which is good for only 25.6 percent from three-point territory.

It is worth noting that the Warriors have lost three of their last four games, and Thompson's inefficiency has definitely been a major factor. The Dubs have also been without their superstar point guard, Stephen Curry, during this span, so this is another aspect that needs to be taken into consideration — for both Thompson's and the team's recent slump.
Much like Thompson, though, Warriors fans are not feeling overly concerned with the shooting guard's recent struggles. Thompson is a career 45.8 percent shooter, and holds a 41.9 percent clip from beyond the arc. He also did set the record for the most 3's in a ballgame (14) a coupe of weeks ago.
The law of averages state that Thompson will catch fire again sooner rather than later. This being the case, his disregard for his current shooting slump is completely warranted.
